Easy Sautéed Mushrooms
Sauteed Mushrooms are one of our favorite steakhouse side dishes. Our standard order is a big fat filet with Steakhouse Mac & Cheese and an order of mushrooms. SO good! We recently had steak night at home and I decided to make our own version of those yummy Steakhouse Mushrooms. Mushrooms cooked in butter, garlic, white wine and Worcestershire sauce. OMG! SO much amazing flavor! They tasted as good, if not better than any sautéed mushrooms we’ve had at a fancy steakhouse.
How to Make Steakhouse Mushrooms
These mushrooms are effortless to make with only a few simple ingredients. In a large skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add sliced fresh mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms release their juices and most of the moisture has evaporated. Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant. Finally, add white wine, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes until most of the liquid has been absorbed. Garnish the mushrooms with fresh parsley and enjoy.
- Can substitute chicken broth, beef broth, or water for white wine.
- You can use any sliced fresh mushrooms that you enjoy. White button mushrooms, baby bella, cremini mushrooms, or shitake mushrooms all work great.
- Sometimes I sprinkle the mushroom with Montreal Steak Seasoning and omit the salt and black pepper.
- Feel free to add some fresh herbs to the mushrooms. Oregano or fresh thyme is wonderful.
What to Serve with Pan-Seared Mushrooms
These mushrooms were a huge hit with our family. We served the mushrooms with steak and our favorite Steakhouse Scalloped Potatoes. This side dish is equally delicious with our delicious Steakhouse Pork Chops or grilled chicken. Whip up a batch tonight! You won’t regret it!
