Free meals available this summer – School News Network


Kenowa Hills — Absolutely free breakfasts and lunches will be designed accessible to little ones in the Kenowa Hills local community this summer. 

The district is sponsoring the Summer season Foodstuff Services Plan Monday to Thursday at Kenowa Hills Large College from June 6-16 and at Central Elementary from July 18 to Aug. 11. 

Foods will be delivered to children 18 yrs outdated and under, with no limitations. Those enrolled in an academic plan for the mentally or physically disabled that is recognized by a condition or area community instructional company, up to age 26, are also eligible to acquire free of charge meals.

June 6 – 16
Monday – Thursday
Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Central Elementary Faculty
July 18 – August 11
Monday – Thursday
Breakfast: 9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

No ID or evidence of tackle will be necessary.

“This plan is open up to any person in the community, both equally college students and non-learners,” Director of Meals and Diet Providers Shanna Williams said. “You never have to go to Kenowa Hills to entry breakfast and lunch just about every working day at no charge.”

Families can also invest in more breakfast foods for $2.50 and lunches for $5.25.

“Every year, not just a pandemic year, there are a whole lot of households and pupils that depend on university courses for nutrition expert services, and that need does not go away in the summer time,” Williams said. “This program is available to any one who would like to appear and try to eat.
