48th annual Cherry Blossom Festival returns to Denver June 25-26

DENVER — Denver’s Cherry Blossom Pageant at Sakura Sq. is back again for the very first time since 2019.

Structured by the Sakura Basis and Tri-Point out/Denver Buddist Temple, the 2022 Cherry Blossom Festival will be held Saturday, June 25, and Sunday, June 26, at Sakura Sq. in the heart of downtown Denver.

The 49th once-a-year competition — which celebrates Japanese culture by audio, dance, exhibits, arts, crafts, dance and food stuff — was not held in 2020 and 2021.

• Live performances of common Japanese dancing, singing, instrumental tunes, Taiko drum ensemble performances, judo, karate and aikido demonstrations.
